Meet Mr. Bobby Phillips,Jr., a member of the United Housing family!

Bobby Phillips, Jr. will soon be moving into a home of his very own. The most exciting aspect of being a homeowner, he says, is “Moving! There are so many exciting things about being a homeowner!”

Mr. Phillips works hard at two jobs while attending school at The University of Memphis, but he always makes time to spend with his nieces and nephews. He has decided to buy a house because he knows that owning a home is a good investment. Additionally, he is very happy to “have a home that is my own, and I really like the neighborhood”.

To help him with his dream of becoming a homeowner, Mr. Phillips turned to United Housing, Inc. At UHI, Mr. Phillips took advantage of the homebuyer education program and the one-onone credit counseling. He feels that the workshops and the presenters were all very knowledgeable and easy to understand. The most beneficial part of his education at UHI he feels was “understanding how much house I can afford, and budgeting.”

Mr. Phillips will move into his new home that he is purchasing from UHI on September 1st. He is taking a United Housing finance package, including a Hope Plus loan. UHI has completely renovated his new home, which Mr. Phillips states is "Beautiful!"
